I am asking Rate Payers across Albert Park Ward how they would like their investment in Port Phillip allocated.
This has been a new question to most.
Alarmingly, efficiencies and cost savings play a key role in “addressing the rates cap deficit” and naturally there comes a point where shaving 1% off expenses reaches an end point.
What I’m asking is:
- What cost shifting from State Government responsibility can the City of Port Phillip put back into State hands?
- What new ‘Other Revenue’ can be explored to bring net new revenue to the City of Port Phillip?
- What underutilised assets in the City of Port Phillip can be leveraged for net new revenue?
Albert Park, Middle Park and St Kilda West residents are some of the sharpest minds in our country.
I’d value your input as to how we can transform the financial position of our City into one that generates net new revenue, strategically leverages the $3.6b of Council assets and fights to put
State responsibilities back to the State.
